AAKS is the eponymous brand of Akosua Afriyie-Kumi, a Ghanaian born, London raised, and now a citizen of the world. She started her own brand after working years in the fashion industry. Akosua decided to bring forward traditional weaving techniques from her beautiful country with a modern twist. Every bag is made out of raffia. They harvest, dye, and weave every piece of raffia that goes into their bags and baskets.
