Goshopia is the home of the three S´s: Slow, Sustainable, and Socially Responsible Fashion. It is the online marketplace that facilitates consumers to find the best sustainable and stylish fashion in the Middle East. We embrace creativity by supporting designers who are aligned with our core values.

Our aim is to make fashion sustainable again. Not many years ago we used to have a more conscious fashion industry. We used to buy only the garments we needed and the clothes in our wardrobe seemed to last forever passing from one generation to another. Clothes were loved, cared for, mended, reused, repurposed…

We truly believe that another fashion is possible, and the time is now. Eco-Fashion should be our present in order to have a better future.

WE LOVE FASHION, BUT…

Fashion is said to be the second most pollutant industry in the world. We are talking about soil, air, and water detriment caused by pesticides, chemicals, high energy usage, and overconsumption of goods and services. All of these cause natural resource depletion and climate change.

Fast fashion is also responsible for modern slavery translating into poor working conditions and exploitation. Mass production of disposable clothes is a global concern that needs joint efforts to be resolved.

OUR FASHION MANIFESTO

WHAT ARE WE WORKING FOR?

1. We want to guarantee that our choices reflect our values without compromising function or style.

• • • Respect nature and people involved in the fashion industry. Be SUSTAINABLE.
    • Reduce unnecessary waste, say “NO” to mass production. Be SLOW.
    • Commit and look after your community. Be SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE. 

2. Goshopia honors the creativity of designers and artisans by providing them a space to showcase and sell their unique designs.
3. We want to be part of the growing movement of Honest and Transparent brands. All of us believe in fair trade and the improvement of supply chains so that every person working within this industry feels empowered and dignified.
4. We believe in the type of fashion that respects ecosystem welfare.
5. Goshopia promotes a timeless style. Fashion that pursues quality versus quantity. Fashion that can be repaired, reused, and recycled.
6. We want to join efforts towards circularity. We are happy to collaborate!
7. Education is the key to:

• • • Impact on the behavior of consumers. We want to spread the message that buying less but better is one of the paths to a more slow, sustainable, and fairer fashion industry.
    • Raise awareness among designers and brands by providing workshops and mentorships about the importance of a Slow, Sustainable, and Socially Responsible Fashion. Our aim is to help them transition to a more sustainable industry while understanding that it will also benefit their business.
