They use SEAQUAL- one of the most certified, earth-friendly fibers in the world. SEAQUAL® YARN is a 100% recycled material with full traceability (DNA tracer inside). It’s a high-quality, recycled polyester yarn made from recycled materials, including post-consumer plastic bottles and plastic captured from the sea. That’s why it contributes to preserving natural resources and reducing the waste in the planet’s water.

Each Canussa bag might have reused up to 10 plastic bottles. Basically, turning used plastic bottles into a higher value, quality product, giving it a second life.

Canussa is a vegan brand and so they are committed to the use of fabrics that don’t originate from animals. They have been awarded the coveted ‘PETA Approved’ designation.

The fabric used for the exterior of Canussa accessories is waterproof and has the appearance of 100% natural leather.  A microfiber that is washable, light, ecological, and highly resistant, even against chemical agents.

The STANDARD Oeko-Tex 100 is an independent testing and certification system that certifies that the fabric used meets the requirements to be considered an ecological fabric free of toxic substances.
